Rebbekah White | | I was approached recently about how I find guest speakers for my shows for Heal Yourself Talk Radio both for the podcast and the Boston Radio show.
In the beginning I would post topics that I wanted to talk about and asked if anyone was an expert in that field. After a couple months of doing this people started to find me through internet searches and word of mouth.
Three years later it is still all word of mouth or search engine rankings how I find my guest speakers. I do however post if I am looking for a specific speaker.
How do you go about finding speakers for your shows?

Dave Jackson | | Go to Amazon and look at the latest releases (or olders if they fit better), and look up the publisher. Contact the publisher and state you are looking to interview the Author on your "Internet Radio Show." Publishers want publicity for their books. Or you can google the author and see if they have their own page.

Penny Haynes | | Sending out requests to lists that you are on helps as well. I am a member of Women Partner, Digital Women and The Mom Pack. So when I have a request, I send it through there as well.
I also use LinkedIn Questions and could use Facebook & Twitter.
I'm about ready to start getting more speakers for the http://MarketingWithAudioAndVideo.com show - I'm booked through the 2nd week of May, I think. So time to start beating the bushes via HARO and the lists again!

Naneinee Ross | | Will I have problems finding someone to interview even though, I just started podcasting. Also, do I have to have a large audience? Would they think, they're too good for me??? Private Reply to Naneinee Ross |

Penny Haynes | | You don't have to have a large audience - just tell them you will be posting the interview online and putting a link to their business in the post. What people want is exposure on the internet as well as in person.
And everyone has to start somewhere, so if they turn you down because you are just starting, they aren't really worth interviewing. You want someone that is excited to be interviewed by you, and you should be able to find people to interview.

Lamar Morgan 954-603-7901 | | Rebbekah,
This is so amazing. Here you are looking for speakers. I have speakers looking for shows. Let's get together. I would love to assign one of my speakers to one of your shows, if it is an appropriate fit.
Here's the deal. My Northern California community is having a Spring Fling (festival) in May. Individual shopping center merchants would love to be a guest on just about any talk show anywhere just to talk about it.
You see, you may have heard that California is in financial trouble to the tune of $42 billion. Well, my little community has discovered that if you cannot afford to do something worthwhile on your own, collaborate with others to make wonderful things happen for all those involved. A group of merchants tried this very thing last October and had great results. So, they plan to attempt it again on May 16th. However, this time, it would be great if we could create "more buzz" by getting on more podcasts.
Anyone out there have an interest? Just send me a private message.
