While this is not mandatory for being a guest on my show, I would like to find someone who has ideas on how a small town in Northern California might revitalize itself. In the past two weeks, we have had three businesses shut down. That is not good for the local economy. Local merchants seem to be asking themselves, "I wonder who is next?"

This entire county is so dysfunctional in my opinion, it is almost surreal. Nobody seems to care whether another person's business lives or dies. But, from what I have come to understand, CARING is what MAKES business networking work.

I can't make up my mind as to to whether the problem here is that people just DO NOT CARE or if it might be a matter of not knowing HOW TO CARE.

I'm struggling to get the essence of your post.

A. Are you requesting guests for a show?

B. Telling us that you choose to play in a puddle of dead fish?

While it is a long story, I did not know that I had moved into an area where there is to use your terms "a puddle of dead fish." But, since I am here and not really in a position to leave, I need to make the most of it.

So, what does a person stuck in a "puddle of dead fish" do? Die? Sorry, I am not open to that option. Maybe all the fish in the puddle are not dead, just in a trance. Maybe there is a way to SNAP them out of it! Got any ideas?

Now, I have already been told on another Ryze network NOT to mention my town any longer. The folks there are tired of hearing about it. But, that does not change the fact the place needs help.

Business networking as I see it is about "caring and connecting" with other people. First, you care. Then, you connect. While that does not always result in direct sales, it can result in meaningful business relationships. It can in a great many ways make a big difference in the lives of the people involved.

So, if there is anyone on this network who would care to connect with folks in a small, Mayberry RFD-type town, on a Talkshoe talk show, please let me know via a private message and I will see what can be arranged.
