Lamar Morgan 954-603-7901 | | While I usually think of a podcast as an audio experience, I see that podcasts are often a video experience as well. What I would like to know is if anyone is taking a audio podcast and merging it with a slide show after the podcast has been recorded? There is a free service online called Slideshare. This service allows you to place audio behind your slides for a true online multimedia experience. For all I know, photo services like Flickr may be doing the same thing now as well. Is anyone on this network doing this sort of thing? Or, are you engaged in another type of innovation? If so, please explain.

Penny Haynes | | Lamar, that's a great idea! I found a simple, free software called VideoCaster that will create a .wmv file from digital images and any audio file you want to add. This would be a great free way to create videos from your podcasts. Plus, they can be used as traditional podcasts (as enclosures in a rss feed), instead of having to watch something online. Bravo, Lamar! Why didn't I think of adding images to my podcast????!!! ;-)

Lamar Morgan 954-603-7901 | | Penny,
If you have something you have done with VideoCaster, can you share a link with us so we can see what this looks like? I do not know what to expect here - a Youtube or a Slideshare type of experience?

Penny Haynes | | Lamar, you can see something that one of my clients created with it on our local Online Community Magazine, AroundCherokeeCounty.com. The link to their travel agency page is:
http://www.aroundcherokeecounty.com/broadcast.php?IdChan=66&IdItem=1. It's the one about Disney.
This was the first one they had made with the program, so they made the text on their opening screen too small, but that is just a part of the learning curve.
