Kelli Claypool | | Because I am very, very new to the world of podcasting, I was told that I should purchase FeedForAll software to assist me with my RSS feeds. Does anyone have an opinion about this software or can recommend an EASY software in place of?
Any information that you can offer would greatly be appreciative.
Thanks! Kelli

Dave Jackson | | I used feedforall when I first started out. I woud dupdate a website, and then I would repost most of the information in feed for all. Then I found out that most blogs output an rss feed "naturally." So now(in my instance) when I make my show notes I am updating the website (that visitors can read) and at the same time I am updating the rss feed (that itunes or other aggregators) could read (cutting the work in half). The other nice thing is Wordpress (or most other blog software) can post date things for the future. When I was usin feedforall, I had to be on the comuter where feedforall was loaded, and enter the information on tht day (which was kind of a bummer for anyone who wanted to go on vacation).
If you are looking for some place to host a wordpress blog I made a special package for bloggers/podcasters at www.coolerwebsites.com start at 2 bucks a month.

Penny Haynes | | Dave's got the answer. Wordpress with PodPress is what I advise for all of my clients. Comes with an RSS feed, although I recommend some plug-ins that allow ALL of your text to show up when you syndicate your feed (otherwise, your text gets cut off in podcast directories and wherever else it is republished).

Dave Jackson | | Pretty much any CMS of value will generate RSS, Worpdress, Typepad, Joomla, etc. Thats the beauty.

Kelli Claypool | | Thank you so much for all of your responses. I'm real nervous about starting because I don't feel like I have a handle on the whole podcasting thing yet. But,I will move forward and learn it.
Thank you again! It's very comforting to know that I can ask amature questions and get honest answers. :)
Have a nice evening! Kelli ````````````` Kelli Claypool, Founder of Mom of Praise www.MomOfPraise.com A Christian Networking Group for Moms and Grandmoms We're small, but growing!Private Reply to Kelli Claypool |
