Is anyone trying to reach non-Podcast listeners? | Views: 369 |

Penny Haynes | | I am wondering if everyone who does a podcast is only marketing their podcast material via their podcast, or if they are trying to get their podcast material out in additional or alternate ways. There are so many people that still don't download or subscribe to podcasts - how are you trying to share your podcast content with them?

Dave Jackson | | I created wwwlearntosubscribe.com to help boost subscriptions (you can link to the tutorial for your podcast http://www.learntosubscribe.com/linktous.htm
I also have a podcast for students (on how to study better www.quietstudyarea.com. I had some bookmarks made and I did get a bit of a spike form that (I put them in libraries). It's hard though as many libraries get nervous about handing any information to people when they don't knwo what they are promoting. I also hand out CDs of shows (done in a quick snippet fashion) to potential listners (so if I see an event where potential listeners are).
So many people still not in the loop

Penny Haynes | | Great feedback, Dave. Love the Library idea and creating something very useful across the board like the study stuff. Of course, the CDs are a tried and true way of exposing people to them.

George Smyth | | I'm not marketing anything, but part of the reason for One Minute How-To was as part of an experiment to engage non-podcast listeners. By extending invitations to them the hope has been to not only have them as guests, but also to have their presence inspire friends of theirs to come on the show. This has happened only to a small extent, but the experiment continues.
Cheers -

Penny Haynes | | Thanks, George. Great idea - word of mouth and viral marketing.
