Rebbekah White

Hello my name is Rebbekah White and I am the owner of Heal Yourself Talk Radio found at http://www.healyourselftalk.com

I have been doing my podcast since August 2006 and last October went to Boston AM Radio with HYTR.

I will be posting tips, tools and more each Monday for this form.

I thought this week it would be good for me to know more about your podcasts, how long you have been doing them, what made you start doing your podcast, etc before I start to post tips. This will help me better know how to help etc.

So please tell me more about your podcast:

Name
URL
How long you have been doing it?
How you record or tape live?
What you use already?
Where you want to have your podcast in the next 6 months?

This will give me a basis to help you and see if I need to start for beginners or experienced podcasters or offer a wide range of tools and tips :)

Bekah, thanks for taking this over. I'll start off the replies:

URL: http://www.Multimediapreneur.com (this is a new blog/podcast that is my "catch all" for anything I do.

URL: http://www.MarketingWithAudioAndVideo.com (this is my weekly TalkShoe show where I interview guests about how to use multimedia to market your business).

How long you have been doing it?
These are all new podcasts, since about 10/2008. I had 4 other podcasts I was doing before this for about 4 years, but decided to jettison anything that was not directly related to Marketing With Audio And Video, which really is what I'm all about.

How you record or tape live?
I do both. I record Marketing With Audio And Video live, but then I re-use that content to create 3+ videos to post on Multimediapreneur.com and social media & networking sites throughout the week. The more I post, the better search engine rankings I get. I also do off the cuff audio and video recordings for Multimediapreneur.com as well.

What you use already?
TalkShoe for live calls, sometimes Pamela if I record a teleconference I'm doing for private classes. I use the http://www.CommercialCreationCenter.com for almost all of my own recorded audios and videos.

Where you want to have your podcast in the next 6 months? Good question. I never went for popularity with my other podcasts, just search engine ranking. But I think I am going to actually PROMOTE Multimediapreneur.com, since it will be my home base for all of my marketing efforts for the Commercial Creation Center and my other software (http://www.PodcastDirectories4Sale.com & http://www.OnlineCommunityMagazines.com). So in 6 months, I'd like Multimediapreneur.com to be a well-known, well-respected podcast for multimedia marketing. I guess being nominated for one of those podcasting awards wouldn't be bad at the end of the year. :)

Naneinee Ross
My name is Naneinee (Nan) Ross. My blogcast is www.corporatecosmo.com. I started in the blogosphere for almost a year now. I love it! Although, writing articles was a little difficult for me. I have always been a social butterfly, so I love to talk while educating, which my network circle say I have the gift for. So, I started the blogcast in October 2008, with a few dilemnas, but made it thru. I want to inform my network about the case studies, books and research I have indulged in the last year about digital media marketing and how these tools are cost effective growing trends. I use Audacity to record my audio shows, even learned how to integrate intro music. I'm having so much fun. Corporatecosmo is currently syndicated in iTunes but in the next 6 months, I want to have at least 500-1000 subsribers to the podcast or iTunes. I also want to have video tutorials for how-to tips. Although, that is currently a dilemna. But I'm eager and determine to seek constructive criticism at all times. I want to reach my goals in 6 months. Please, help!

Bruce Chambers
Well, you guys know me. So, I won't introduce myself further. HAHA! In case you don't, my name is Bruce Chamoff and I own two podcast networks, one is PodcasterWhosWho.com, the Who's Who of Podcasting, and a local one called "Long Island Podcast Network" at www.lipodcastnetwork.com

I have also been a session speaker at Podcamp New York and Podcamp Boston.

How long you have been doing it?
I have been podcasting since September 2005 and have 7 podcasts now.

How you record or tape live?
I record my podcasts using a Samson USB Microphone for audio and a JVC Mini DVD camcorder for video podcasting. I do podcast live on occasion like the Who Tribute band that we podcasted as well as little league game from Levittown, New York which was watched live on the internet all the way from the Dominican Republic.

What you use already?
I use Audacity and Magix.

Where you want to have your podcast in the next 6 months?
Through my Podcast Page Maker software (formerly the "RSS Feed API"), I already have my podcasts syndicated on 50 web sites and hope to increase it further.

Dave Jackson
I'm Dave Jackson from the School of Podcasting All my stuff can be found at www.personalpodcastcoach.com
How long you have been doing it? Since April of 2005
How you record or tape live? I record using an Audio technica 3035 microphone into Mixcraft software.

Where you want to have your podcast in the next 6 months? I am finding it more "Fun" when the audience is more involved. Over the last few months I've stepped up items to get them to participate. While I'd love to have a gazzilion listeners, in reality I'd rather have quality listeners more than quantity.
